Engraving order to Zemaitis
This time we received an order for engraving on the metal front of Zemaitis and several other parts.
The customer requested that "we erase part of the original logo and add a motif that blends in with the surrounding design in its place," so we carved down the surface, including the logo, by about 0.2 mm, carefully polished it by hand, and then carved the motif into it.
A centaur provided by the owner is carved in the specified location.
The size of the design was specified using masking tape.
Although it is a very small change, I slightly altered the angle of the arm drawing the bow and the angle of the hind legs of the centaur design to make it stand out more when engraved.
It emphasizes the dynamism of drawing the bow and the strength of stepping on the ground.
Zemaitis engraving on the back metal plate
The frame is carved to match the shape of the outer circumference of the plate, and similarly the curves of the inner motif are carved to match.
Regarding the design, we discuss it with the owner and then carve it based on the composition.
Engraving on various parts such as bridges
The client was not satisfied with the results of the previous carving of the bridge part of the guitar, so we adjusted the balance of the motif that was already carved and carved additional shading lines to make the motif itself clearer.
It may be impossible to make corrections if the original carved motif is too dirty, but in this case, the engraving was just about possible to correct, so we accepted the request.
I was entrusted with the design of all four plates, so I designed the motif from scratch and engraved it according to the price.
